Do you ever wonder how secure your customers really are in Office 365? With Office 365 Secure Score, your worries are no more. Secure Score helps assess an organization's security based on the users’ regular activities and security settings in Office 365 and thereby assigning a score.
Secure Score can:
- Help your customers adopt the best security practices
- Raise adoption of Microsoft features in M365/O365, and
- Enhance upselling opportunities for resellers and managed serviced providers.
What does Secure Score do?
Secure Score looks at what Office 365 services your customer is using (OneDrive, SharePoint, and Exchange) then looks at your settings and activities, as well as comparing them to a baseline established by Microsoft. From this, you'll get a score based on how aligned you are with the best security practices.
Since different customers use different O365 services, the scores will be different depending on the services your customers use.
With Score Analyzer, you can find out how your customer obtains the score and what you need to do to score higher.
In the example below, you can see the activities that this customer has done to give a score of 53.
You can also see what the customer has not done, which costs them points.
You can also expand each action to see the size of the impact and the necessary steps which would influence the implementation cost for these features, which would be helpful in deciding whether that’s something that you want to do next time to be even more secure. It also tells you how your score will increase once you follow the recommendations and the compliance controls the feature is related too.
The customer can also click “Learn more” to apply the policies immediately. And in the case where they do not have the required licences, it would become an opportunity for partners like you to upsell.
To see the impact of your actions on your organization's security, you can also click the Score Analyzer tab and review your history and secure score over time.
There are plenty of things which Secure Score can do. In the Secure Score dashboard, you can also see how your secure score compares to other companies with similar sized seats. You are also able to do a search of actions by category, implementation cost, action type, user impact etc, to help you decide which action takes precedence. You can also model your ideal score to find the right balance of productivity and security, along with prioritized actions based on effectiveness and filter and search for specific controls.
