Microsoft CSP AUD Price Increase (Australia)
From January 1, 2019 Australian dollar prices for commercial online services including Microsoft 365 and Azure, will increase by about 8% to more closely align to online services pricing in other markets.
This is the first pricing alignment Microsoft has made in AUD in more than three years. and will not apply to consumer software or consumer cloud services.
AUD pricing and billing are benefits offered by Microsoft to Australian partners and customers to provide more stable and predictable pricing. Customers buying in AUD will continue to find Microsoft’s cloud offering highly competitive with Azure and competitively priced when compared to the market. In addition, there are opportunities for further savings with offers like Azure Hybrid Use Benefits (AHUB) and Reserved VM Instances.
The price changes will not affect existing CSP subscriptions under the CSP price protection rule, which guarantees the price of the products for 12 months after the subscriptions are created. However, prices for new subscriptions created from January 1st 2019 onward will be billed.
Find out more and read the FAQ from rhipe and Microsoft for the price increase here.
Reminder: Microsoft CSP NZD Price increase (New Zealand) from December 1st 2018
Also as a reminder, the New Zealand dollar prices for commercial online services including Microsoft 365 and Azure also increased by around 9% from December 1st 2018 to more closely align to online services pricing in other markets.
Microsoft periodically assesses the impact of its local pricing of products and services to ensure there is reasonable alignment globally and this change is an outcome of this assessment. This pricing change will not apply to consumer software or consumer cloud services.
The price changes will not affect existing CSP subscriptions until their subscription anniversary dates under the CSP price protection rule, which guarantees the price of the products for 12 months after the subscriptions are created.

Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams: Automated Upgrade Dashboard for Partners
In Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to support the transition from Skype for Business Online to Teams, Microsoft has made the upgrade status available on My Insights. Partner will be able to view each tenant upgrade status with whom they are associated (via DPOR, DAP, CSP, FastTrack Ready): If a customer’s tenant is eligible for an upgrade, the date their upgrade is scheduled, and the date their upgrade has been completed (if applicable). Eligibility is met based upon features to which users have access.
Partners can check the automated upgrade tenant information at My Insights dashboard by taking the following steps:
1. Log in to your MPN account at https://partner.microsoft.com
2. Under the Membership menu, select Your Accounts and Reports
3. Select My Insights to view the dashboard
4. In your My Insights dashboard, select the Cloud Product Performance tab
5. Select Office 365, and at the bottom of the page, partners can find tenant information regarding upgrade eligibility, status, the date scheduled for the upgrade, and actual upgrade date. The information can be exported to Excel
